Wedding Photographer Kea, Greece

Rustic Elegance at the Cycladic Gate

Cinematic, editorial wedding photography capturing the stone-built charm, oak forests, and secluded shores of cosmopolitan Kea.

Destination Weddings · Kea (Tzia)

The Aristocratic Secret

Kea (also known as Tzia) is a hidden gem right at the doorstep of the Cyclades. Unlike the typical whitewashed islands, Kea boasts a unique rustic elegance with earth-toned stone houses, red-tiled roofs, ancient oak forests, and an understated, cosmopolitan charm that makes it a favorite among discerning Athenians.

Whether you're planning an intimate bohemian elopement by the ancient ruins of Karthea, a traditional ceremony in the labyrinthine alleys of Ioulida, or a luxurious beachside reception in Koundouros, Kea offers a remarkably sophisticated canvas. As your Kea wedding photographer, my approach is to blend high-fashion editorial aesthetics with raw documentary storytelling, perfectly capturing the island's earthy beauty and the genuine emotion of your celebration.

Why Kea for a Destination Wedding

Unbeatable Proximity

Kea is exceptionally easy to reach. Just a one-hour ferry ride from the port of Lavrio (which is very close to Athens International Airport), making logistics effortless for your guests.

Unique Architecture

Moving away from the stark white-and-blue, Kea's stone-built villas and red-tiled roofs offer a warm, earthy, and highly sophisticated aesthetic for your wedding gallery.

Understated Luxury

The island caters to a cosmopolitan crowd seeking privacy and high-end services without the ostentation of heavily commercialized islands.

Diverse Venues

From rustic, restored agricultural estates in the hinterland to incredibly chic, modern beach clubs along the coast, the options are spectacular.

A cosmopolitan coastal area known for its striking stone windmills, luxury villas, and crystal-clear waters. Ideal for glamorous seaside receptions.

Vourkari

A picturesque, sheltered bay filled with yachts and high-end seafood restaurants. A fantastic spot for an elegant, relaxed welcome dinner.

Karthea

Ancient ruins situated right above a pristine, secluded beach. Reached only by boat or a hike, it is the ultimate location for an adventurous, epic elopement.

Based in Sparta but working across all of Greece and Europe, my goal is simple — to hand you a collection of images that feel like the day actually felt. Photographs you'll pass down as family heirlooms for generations to come.

    Kea Wedding Photography FAQs

My Kea wedding photography collections start at €1,500 for intimate elopements. Full-day luxury coverage begins at €4,500, and comprehensive multi-day destination events start from €6,500.

Yes. Although Kea is very close to Athens, travel and accommodation fees apply as it requires a ferry trip from Lavrio. For our multi-day "Destination Experience" packages, these logistics are seamlessly incorporated directly into your custom quote.

Kea is spectacular from late May through early October. Because it is a popular weekend getaway for Athenians, June and September are ideal for enjoying the island's beauty with fewer crowds than in August.

Yes, Karthea is breathtaking. However, because it is only accessible by boat or a hike, I strongly suggest doing an adventurous "Day After" session there. This allows us to create epic portraits without rushing or stressing during your wedding timeline.

Absolutely. The dramatic cliffs, the ancient oak forests, and the stunning coastal venues of Koundouros are spectacular from the air. Drone cinematography is included in our Signature and Destination Experience collections.

The final number depends on the size and duration of your celebration. A standard full-day wedding typically yields between 600 and 800 fully edited, high-resolution images.

Kea is a highly sought-after location for chic, sophisticated weddings. I highly recommend securing your date 12 to 16 months in advance to guarantee availability.
